Busi 211 Business English I:

Objective:-

This module focuses on developing business English skills for use in a professional environment both inside and outside the company.

Content:-

Each unit within the module will present a specific vocabulary set which will be used to extend and strengthen the student’s vocabulary. Units to be taught are: Social Interaction (Meeting and greeting , Engaging conversation and prompting Conversational techniques ),Telephoning Skills ,Effective Interaction in Meetings ,The Language of Negotiating, Making short Presentations ,Talking about Products and Brands, Talking about the Company (Discussing Plans, Strengths and Weaknesses , Staff , Organization and Structure , Development ,Market position and competition.

Stat 212 Business Statistics

Objective:-
Help student to examine, verity and analyses business data.

Content:-
Steps of Scientific Research, Data Collection Methods, Preparing Research Report, Descriptive Statistics Techniques (Measures of Central Tendency, Measures of Variability, Skewness, Kurtosis), Basic Probability Distributions, Estimation of Population Mean and Proportion, Sampling Distributions, Sample Size Calculations, Tests of Hypothesis (Parametric, Nonparametric), Application in SPSS.

Mrkt 213 Principles of Marketing

Concept:

Introduction the concept of marketing to development, environment, research.

Content:-

Introduction to Marketing, Marketing in Changing World (What is Marketing, Changes in Marketing Philosophies, Marketing Challenges into the Next Century), Marketing and Society, Ethics, The Global Marketing Environment, Strategic Marketing Planning, Consumer Behavior and Consumer Markets, Business Markets and Business Buyer Behavior, Market Segmentation, Targeting and Positioning Strategies, Competitive Strategies: Building Lasting Customer Relationship.

Acct 214- Cost Accounting 1

Objective:-

The objective of this course is to equip the student with the principles of costing in the manufacturing companies.

Content:-

Topics covered in this course include costs elements, preparation of the schedule of manufacturing cost, cost systems, job order costing, and process costing.

Econ 215 Microeconomics

Objective:-

The course would enhance students’ understanding of business communication principles and skills.

Content:

Topics to be covered: Understanding business communication, importance of communication in business, types of communication; media and channels of communication, barriers to effective communication; the importance of listening, Verbal communication, oral and written communication; business presentations, visual aids for business presentation, Kinds of business letters, drafting business letters, patterns of business messages- bad news messages, persuasive messages and goodwill messages.

Busi 221 English for Business II:

Objective:-

This Module is a continuation of the first module of professional business English. Units to taught include: Describing trends and change , Management styles: Using the right language, Cultural and Difference: How culture effects the way we speak, Talking about Money, Finance, Schedules, Plans and Timetables, Talking about national, international and global factors, economies, Voice projection, pronunciation and tonality.

Acct 222- Managerial accounting

Objective:-

The course provides students with fundamentals of managerial accounting. It makes a clear distinction between cost and managerial accounting topics.

Content:

The main topics covered in this course include cost behavior, cost-volume profit analysis, segment reporting, direct and absorption costing, standard cost systems, flexible budgets, capital budgeting, relevant costs, transfer pricing, and product pricing.

Mrkt 223 Marketing Management

Objective:-
The objective of this course is to introduce the student to a broad understanding of the field of Marketing, sufficient academic and professional base from which to pursue a career in marketing:

Content:

 the marketing system and the marketing environment, analysis of consumer and industrial markets, market segmentation, The marketing mix: product decisions, pricing decisions, distribution decisions and promotion decisions, marketing in non-profit organizations.

FINC 224 – Principles of Finance

Objective:-

The focus of this course is on the role of financial management in maximizing the value of the firm. The course emphasizes important concepts and techniques needed for financial decision-making.
